Alex truly was a hero, and one of the highest calibre, acting selflessly to the very end. He deserved better, his family, friends and loved ones deserve better, and his country deserve better. May he rest in peace and may ICE come crashing down.

Coming from a woman that has been violently pushed to the ground by a man…Alex is a hero. She was terrified but I know from experience that the moment he stepped in that she felt safe (or at least safer). My heart is broken for his family.
Grateful for Alex’s courage and humanity. His life mattered. This has deeply impacted me. In moments of injustice, people come together and prevail. Holding his family and loved ones in my thoughts ❤️
I served in the USMC to protect the rights being stripped from us by this corrupt administration. Alex was one of the good ones. I wish he had got a chance to defend himself. He went out standing up for women and protesting our rights that are disappearing!!! RIP Alex!!!
To Alex's family—I am so terribly sorry for this unimaginable and horrifying loss. The country is behind you and we know who Alex was: a brave, caring, good and principled man. He will be remembered as a hero. May he rest in power and peace.
As a fellow RN I feel the loss of Alex on a deep level. I am SO sorry to his family and friends at the loss of such a kind human. I hope with every fiber of my being that justice is served and this insanity in our country stops. ABOLISH ICE!

Alex is any of us, and all of us. We should not be living in a militant fascist state where a person not holding weapon, with no weapon on their body, clearly trying to help others (an ICU nurse no less), is murdered like this in broad daylight by our government. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. I hope the witnesses immediately around this incident can also receive the support they need as well in dealing with what they saw.
Alex's murder hit me particularly hard, as a retired RN. I understand that the first instinct of a nurse is to help others, and you died doing just that. I'm so sorry. Rest in peace.

I can not believe that someone could be killed by federal agents in broad daylight simply for being kind and helping others. This news is sickening. Alex, you are an American Hero. We will remember you and your kindness.
Alex Pretti was a hero and my heart aches for his loved ones, the state of Minnesota, and the entire USA (excluding the disgusting administration responsible for the horrors ICE is inflicting on the country). To my American neighbours: stay strong, take care of one another, and don’t let the fascists win!
My deepest condolences to the loved ones of Alex Pretti. As a parent, my heart aches for you. I'm raising two teenage sons, and I hope that they will grow to be the mightiest of men, as your Alex was. His name and his story are being spoken around the world. His legacy lives.
I am devastated by the atrocities currently taking place in your country. Keith, I'm familiar with your content, and I'm sure Alex's family is receiving the donations. Alex risked his life to help, and he paid the ultimate price. This should never have happened, like so many terrible things since 2016... I feel helpless, and all I can say is that I am incredibly sorry.
